Well, I thought I would try my hand at blogging! My name is Aimee and I have two great (but often naughty) boys! Jacob just turned 3 and Kyle will be 8 in a few weeks! I have a great boyfriend, Ken, who I have been with for almost 11 years. So, Welcome...to A Day in my Life!

So it Begins....
Well, I have decided to go on a diet. I figured if I were to post about it, I would be more likely to stick to it. So, I signed up for www.myfitnesspal.com to help me keep track of everything and put a ticker here on my blog page. So, I won't weigh myself again until next Saturday. I am really liking myfitnesspal.com it has a app for the phones too. The app has a barcode scanner included so you can just scan the barcodes and it adds all the calorie information into your day. Makes things much easier. I have been doing pretty good the past couple days with dieting but now it is official! I just wish I had someone here to do it with. I did it before with my cousin Andrea when we did weight watchers and we were both able to do good. Oh Well, I can do this even if it's alone!

myfitnesspal.com is great! i used it a while back and lost a lot of weight thanks to that and going to the gym. but, i fell of the wagon. due to sickness, stress... life. and i need to get back on. BAD. i need to find that life/kids/house/gym/me-time balance again. i think i'll log in again and start tracking tomorrow. not that i'm procrastinating, because i know that i have, but it's the end of the day today... i'm about to go to bed and i already know that i'm well over my calorie budget for the day. lol
ReplyDeleteWe tried the whole gym thing when Jacob was 1...but you know how he was at daycamp at age 2 so imagine at age 1! lol So, we had to do the whole rotating thing with Ken going and me watching the kids than me going and him watching the kids. Yeah didn't work well. Plus, this time around we don't have the extra money for a gym so I am just going off my exercise DVD's, riding our bikes, walking, and doing whatever I can around the house for exercise. The biggest thing for me was not having someone to do it with. To be able to bounce diet ideas off of and get input from them about whats working and what's not. Things like that. I found a great group of women on facebook to do a challenge with and it is helping A LOT just to be able to talk to them.
